My name is Blake Mechtel and I am the founder of Duquesne University Mic Drop. On behalf of myself and all of Mic Drop, thank you for helping us exceed our $1,000 crowdfunding campaign goal!

Your gift will be going towards competition costs, new music, travel funds, sound equipment, rehearsal spaces, workshops and much more! These funds are going to help Mic Drop go past our boundaries and gain more exposure than we have ever done before!

Most importantly, these funds will help us spread the meaning of what we do. It will let Mic Drop express to everyone how group singing can make a large impact on people. We are dedicated to helping our community and spreading our passion of music making to anyone and everyone.

I tell the group frequently that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did but people will never forget how you made them feel. So thank you for making us feel loved, supported and appreciated by the Duquesne Community.

Tomorrow, Friday, December 7 we will host our 2nd Annual Christmas Concert at 7:30 p.m. in PNC Recital Hall. Your generosity to our campaign allows us to make this concert free and open to the public. We have been practicing hard and are excited to spread Christmas cheer with our voices this Friday.
