On behalf of everyone involved in the Duquesne University Ice Hockey team, THANK YOU for your support of our crowdfunding project (www.spirit.duq.edu/hockey17). Our final total was $8,129 raised from 70 donors!

We are very excited to also inform you that our campaign…

• Was Duquesne University's most successful crowdfunding campaign
• Reached its initial goal of $4,000 in less than a week
• SURPASSED its $8,000 stretch goal on the final night of the campaign
• Saw donations come in from 12 states, which spanned from campus to Hawaii!

We are also excited to share with you these notes about our season…

• Finished 2nd in the CHMA with a record of 10-4 and an overall record of 18-10, our best season in eight years
• First-year head coach Conrad Waite earned College Hockey Mid-America Coach of the Year honors
• Senior captain Zak Kindya and junior forward Tomas Diffendal were selected 1st team All-Conference
• Sophomore goaltender Alex Taylor was selected 2nd Team All-Conference
• Had six Academic All Americans: Michael Iannello, Derek Richardson, Zak Kindya, Jason Bruce, Thomas Diffendal and Mitch Eisenberg

Thank you all again for your tremendous support. While we fell just short of our goal this season of reaching the National Tournament, thanks to your donations we will be able to start a fund to pay for the cost to attend Nationals next season and we will be able to lower some of the costs the students pay to play for the team. As a completely student funded organization, this is a big deal, so thank you!

Our record-breaking crowdfunding campaign is now up to $6,307 raised from 54 donors! Thank you for making this an overwhelming success!

With only THREE DAYS LEFT in the campaign we want to do one final push to see how high we can get these numbers. Keep in mind that:

• A number of people may have put off donating and now need a reminder that the campaign is ending.
• We continue to hear from alumni who are just hearing about the crowdfunding project for the first time so there is still work that needs to be done to spread the word.

WOW we have officially crossed the $5,000 mark and have raised 132% of our original goal! Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported us so far!!!!

With just 11 days left, and our CHMA playoffs this weekend, we are making one final push for donations. We are 2/3rd's of the way to our stretch goal of $8,000 and with a donation and a share of this address (www.spirit.duq.edu/hockey17) from you, I know we can do it!

And hey, if you're in the Pittsburgh area, come out to RMU Island Sports Center this weekend and support the Dukes! Our semi-final match-up is Saturday, February 25th at 8:30 p.m., and the Championship is Sunday the 26th at 12:30 p.m.
