Duquesne Supply Chain Council

What is the Duquesne Supply Chain Management Council?

Duquesne Supply Chain Council (DSCC) is a student-run organization for Supply Chain Management majors that provides opportunities for students to gain real world experiences, network with industry professionals and enhance their professional development.

Duquesne University Student Members Chapter

Duquesne University’s Palumbo Donahue School of Business’ undergraduate program in Supply Chain Management strives to develop tomorrow’s leaders with essential skills such as preserving resources while improving the flow of goods and services, and balancing demands in a global marketplace. Duquesne's Supply Chain Management Program was listed as one of the Top 25 programs in the nation by Camcode.

Why are We Crowdfunding?

We are in need of donations to re-start an initiative that provides DSCC members with the opportunity to tour plants. Additional donations will be used to enhance our group by offsetting the costs outlined in the "Levels" section of this page.

Education, practice, and community integration are imperative to creating the foundation for a career in Supply Chain Management. It is vital that students receive understanding of the applicability of Supply Chain Management. Students will be able to experience the applicability of this degree by visiting various plants around the area. Manufacturing plants such as, Bayer, Pepsi, US Steel, and ATI are just some of the companies on DSCC’s radar for upcoming tours, as well as some of the more groundbreaking facilities that are using additive manufacturing and the “Internet of Things”. Specifically, the GE plant would be beneficial for students to visit so that they could see the use of a 3D printer in the marketplace and practice with the three-dimensional printer that the School of Business recently obtained. We need YOUR support to help send students to one plant per semester!

Why Should You Want to Help Send Duquesne University Students to different plants?

Duquesne University students who are fortunate enough to attend plant visits will get to:

  • Obtain the chance to see how a degree in SCM is applicable in the marketplace
  • Focus on fostering research on the different elements of SCM
  • Expand and integrate academic professionalism in the marketplace
  • Attend specific plants to see the practice of SCM and represent Duquesne University

Please Give Now and Help Spread the Word!

You can also help by spreading the word of this campaign to others via social media, e-mail, and text. Make sure to include the hashtag #DUQDSCC! Thank you!
