Duquesne University Women's Club Lacrosse 2017
Who are we?
We are the Duquesne Women’s Club Lacrosse team. We are in our third year as an official Division I club team. Our team consists of over 25 players of all years and majors. Last season, we posted a winning record at 7-5 with a few tough losses.
Our team competes in the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL) and is a part of the East Region Division. Other teams within the division include Buffalo, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pittsburgh. We also face more local teams like Carnegie Mellon, Grove City, and Slippery Rock.
Why do we need your support?
As a registered Division I club team, we travel to large out-of-state universities during our spring season for tournaments. Previous tournaments have been held at schools such as Michigan State University, Ohio State University, and West Virginia University. As our team is solely funded by our players, your support will assist us in covering:
- transportation fees
- hotel costs
- referee fees
- field fees
- league registration fees
- and other small equipment costs
Any donation helps and allows us to continue to expand and grow as a team!
How can you help?
Aside from donating, please share our campaign to spread the word (www.spirit.duq.edu/wlax17)! This is a relatively new program at Duquesne and the more exposure our team receives, the more support we will gain!
