Support American Chemical Society Students
What is the American Chemical Society?
The American Chemical Society is the largest scientific society in the world, serving more than 157,000 members globally, providing educational and career development programs, products and services.
The Award-Winning Duquesne University ACS Student Members Chapter
Duquesne University has a student member ACS chapter, which is a social and service organization open to all science majors who strive to attain academic and professional success at Duquesne.
The Duquesne ACS Student Members Chapter is one of the most successful student organizations on campus, growing from 12 members in 2008 to 100 members in 2017. The organization has won the ACS Outstanding Student Chapter Award SIX years in a row and the ACS Green Chemistry Chapter Award THREE years in a row.
Why Are We Crowdfunding?
Networking and presentation experiences are vital to building a strong scientific career. The Duquesne ACS Chapter provides opportunities for students to gain this experience at both national and local chemistry conferences.
The 255th American Chemical Society National Conference will be held March 18-22, 2018 in New Orleans, LA and we need YOUR support to help send some of our students there.
Why Should You Want to Help Send Duquesne University Students to the Conference?
Duquesne University students who are fortunate enough to attend the conference will get to:
- Present their research and represent Duquesne University on the national stage
- Attend poster sessions and special lectures
- Meet with mentors and peers in a more laid-back, social setting
- Attend the ACS Career Fair and Graduate School Exposition
