Duquesne University student Emily Crisen, who was on the Duquesne University Spiritan Campus Ministry Dominican Republic Mission Trip, wrote a final reflection about her experience. Please know that YOUR donation to this crowdfunding campaign helped make this incredible experience possible for students like Emily and we are extremely grateful.
Here is an excerpt from her post:
"I have had one of the best weeks of my life. Not only have I made the best of friends and memories, I have learned so much about what it means to be a community. I really hope I can take the sense of community and tranquillity I have learned here back with me to the States."

Thank you again from all of us at Duquesne University!
As a donor to our Duquesne University Dominican Republic Mission Trip crowdfunding campaign, we are excited to tell you that the students have arrived safely in San Juan de la Maguana!
You can follow their journey and see what your donation helped make possible by visiting their Blog: https://spiritancampusministry.wordpress.com.
We hope you enjoy their updates! Thank you again for your support and generosity!
Thank you for donating to our crowdfunding project! We are pleased to report that with nine days left in the campaign we have exceeded our $1,500 goal! This would not have been possible without your generosity.
We now hope to reach our new stretch goal of $2,000, which would further defray costs associated with this mission experience. So please continue to spread the word of our project and share this link www.spirit.duq.edu/dr17 on social media.
Seeing how supportive the Duquesne University community has been towards our campaign has made us even more excited to serve our friends in the Dominican Republic this summer.
Thank you again and have a blessed Easter!
Even a donation of $10 will make a difference and help us reach our goal!
A $25 donation will allow us to buy arts and craft supplies, paint, sports equipment, books and anything else needed to facilitate a camp full of fun for the children who attend.
A $50 donation will allow us to purchase a variety of medical supplies which will be donated to the elderly, infirm and widowed. These populations do not typically have the means or access to medicines or medical supplies that are needed.
There are several older plywood/shingle roofs in the barrio where we work that are hitting their 15 year limit and need to be replaced. A more permanent fix is to replace them with a new zinc roof. The cost for an entire roof is $300.
