The curtain has closed on STAGES theater camp 2017.  Some highlights from this year include:

  • All students learning how to operate the sound and/or light board.  We even had an 8th grader programming the show cues!
  • Four student written scripts performed
  • All students performing in at least one piece
  • All students costuming their own and each other's characters
  • Building mermaid costumes from scratch
  • Mastering projection (no mics needed here!)
  • Students trying new things and gaining confidence in the process

If you haven't yet followed us on Twitter, please do @stagestheater to follow our process from day one to show day.

One of our campers stated "This is the best camp I've ever been to.  I'm actually learning things I can apply later."  We couldn't have gotten a better compliment.

Thank you for supporting STAGES.  We couldn't have done it without you.

Below is a press release for the show, which was written by the students. We hope to see you Saturday! Thank you again for making this special camp possible!

Thank You!

May 17, 2017

Thank you for supporting STAGES summer theater camp.  With your help, we met and surpassed our goal with $3,029 raised from 53 donors! Because of your generosity, we will be able to provide a quality summer program to teens who may not otherwise experience the joy of creating live theater.

We are currently accepting applications for the program.  Please feel free to spread the word!

We'd love to see you at the end-of-camp production, so mark your calendar for July 22.  More details will be provided as the campers write their shows and make their own publicity materials.

Again, thank you for supporting STAGES and theater arts education!
