DUSAT Spring 2026
We are Duquesne University Student’s in Athletic Training, but we go by DUSAT for short! We are a student run club connecting Duquesne students currently enrolled in our athletic training program, or students enrolled in the health sciences program interested in pursuing a career in athletic training. As a club, we host group events that encourage fellowship and promote professional development of students in the program, as well as allowing them to connect with faculty and staff, including our own Duquesne Athletics ATs.
With your help, all donations will help us send our students to the 2026 Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Society (PATS) Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium in Harrisburg, PA from June 4-6. PATS also provides students with the opportunity to showcase their knowledge of athletic training with a quiz bowl. In the past, DUSAT has sent student representatives who have won! This year, along with sending students to the convention, we are looking to compete and represent once again! In addition to covering the cost of attendance to the conference, donations will also help to pay for hotel rooms for our students. We have sent students to athletic training conferences in the past and would love to be able to continue to do so!
DUSAT presents students with the opportunity to connect with classmates, faculty, and alumni starting in their first year on campus. The connections formed here are ones that will certainly last for the duration of the program, but also well into the years that will follow. Here, students are able to find mentorship, guidance, and educational opportunities to learn and network. Our ability to provide such an experience for all athletic training students is strengthened by the general support and donations of faculty, friends, family, alumni, and the athletic training community.
The pride and success of Duquesne’s athletic training program are strengthened by those that have paved the way for our current students. DUSAT recently hosted Dr. Paula Turocy, founder of the Duquesne Athletic Training Program, where she talked to our students about the history and legacy of the program. For our students, it was inspiring to hear her story and form a strong connection with such a powerful and incredible individual in the world of athletic training.
