Encore Show Choir Spring 2026
Who we are:
The Duquesne University Encore Show Choir, known as just Encore, is the show choir that performs all around the local Pittsburgh area aiming to bring joy to the community! We are a large group of students with diverse majors, all brought together by our love of music and performance. We practice twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. At the end of each semester, we have a large concert where we perform all our repertoire for anybody who wants to come see us! Additionally, we have two selected groups that perform an all-singing track or an all-dancing track. Encore supports students with a love for music who might not be able to express it through their majors and provides a platform for singers and dancers to perform at a variety of different locations, on and off campus.
In March of 2024, Encore hosted its first reunion! This reunion served as an event to bring Encore members and alumni together. We performed our current set list for the alumni to show how Encore has grown and evolved. Additionally, the alumni got to perform the “Irish Blessing”, a song that we have is a tradition for us to perform at our Friends & Family performances, with the group. This event was so successful that Encore won “Event of the Year” at the SOLSA awards, which is the first SOLSA award Encore ever won.
Why we need your help!
Your donation would keep the group running its day-to-day operations, as well as providing our students with rides to performances, music/performance tracks, and a custom shirt for the entire group to match. A special addition, this year is Encore’s 20th Anniversary as a club at Duquesne, so all of our members will be receiving a special 20th Anniversary shirt to commemorate, which your donations will go towards.

Transportation
A gift of $5 would cover the price of a student taking the bus to get to a performance in the city!

T-Shirt
A gift of $20 would allow one student to purchase a custom-made Encore shirt for our performance at the end of a semester! And this year members will be sporting special 20th Anniversary shirts!

A gift of $50 would cover the price of a group meal during our dress rehearsals!

Friends & Family
A gift of $100 would go towards paying all the people who help put our Friends and Family show together, such as the photographer and sound crew!
