NAFME Fall 2025
NAFME Fall 2025
Who we are
Duquesne University’s National Association for Music Education Chapter #159 (NAfME) is a collegiate organization for music education majors at the Mary Pappert School of Music. The organization offers professional development opportunities throughout the year for students, including workshops, professional speaker presentations, with the main opportunity being the annual Pennsylvania Music Education Association (PMEA) Conference. Chapter membership is required for all Music Education students and provides experiences for professional development as well as chances to network with other music educators.
NAfME is one of the most engaging clubs at Duquesne University by supporting the students in various ways through coming together for both academic and professional development. It allows students to connect with others and enhance their network within the music education community.
Why we need your help
We are raising money to send our chapter members to the PMEA State Conference. Last year, our organization was fortunate enough to send 30 students to the PMEA Conference. With the help of our Crowdfunding campaign, we were able to keep their individual cost under $70. We hope to continue these efforts this year and send 40 members to the conference, keeping the cost affordable. Your donations would go directly towards conference registration and hotel accommodations!
