Lexicon Fall 2025

Who we are:

:Lexicon is the arts and literary journal of Duquesne, publishing one journal every semester. Our journals showcase student, faculty, and alumni creative works such as fiction, drama, poetry, art, and photography. We also host events such as our annual art show in the spring and Blind Date with a Book during both fall and spring semesters.

Why we need your help!

Donations will go toward the publication of our literary journal and allow us to publish more of the talented Duquesne community’s creative works. Donations will also support the continuation of our annual art show for the Duquesne community to attend.

This impacts the community by sharing how talented our students, faculty, and alumni are. We have also brought back our Blind Date with a Book event every semester where attendees select a wrapped book and discover something they might not have read otherwise. This develops new reading habits and allows attendees to connect over their favorite books.

Our annual art show didn’t happen for about five years, but because of the Crowdfunding we raised last fall, we were able to bring back our annual art show last Spring 2025 that showcased art and sculptures as well as some readings of poetry and fiction. The event last all day, and not only were there art and sculptures, but there was also a length of time at the end of the event for readings of fiction and poetry.
