What is SOTA?
The Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) is a student-led club for students majoring in Occupational Therapy. We provide volunteer opportunities and host guest lecturers which promote opportunities for professional development through networking between cohorts and established professionals. One of the main events of the year is the AOTA conference, which is being held in Philadelphia, PA this upcoming April. We hope to send some SOTA members that wish to attend the conference!
SOTA is one of the most engaging clubs at Duquesne University by supporting the students in various ways through coming together for both academic and professional development. It allows students to connect with others and enhance their network within the OT community.
Why are We Fundraising?
Your donations will help students cover the cost of traveling to the AOTA conference in Philadelphia. This includes gas money, hotel room, food, and even a ticket to attend the event! Some students who wish to attend the conference are held back because of the cost, but with your donations, you can give a student the opportunity to learn about the OT profession as a future practitioner!
Your Help is so Valuable!
Your support helps us as students be able to experience this wonderful learning opportunity! It provides the opportunity for us to send as many students as we can to gain this experience. Please share this page with others to help put us one step closer to reaching our goal of attending the AOTA conference!
