We are Duquesne University's literary journal. Every fall and spring, we publish student, faculty, and alumni work such as fiction, poetry, art, and photography. We provide students with the opportunity to become professionally published as well as help with the publishing process. At the end of each semester, we have a release party to present the finished journal and allow students to showcase their work to an audience.

We also sponsor events such as blind date with a book where members get to randomly select a wrapped book, giving attendees the opportunity to read something new they might not have considered before. This event is free for all students, which means that we purchase all the books with our own budget.

This spring we are also bringing back our annual art show where student creative work will be displayed all day and at the end of the day a select number of students will present their work to a gathered audience, offering them the chance to share their work.

How your gift could help

The donations will go toward publishing the journal and improving it. Because of print and publishing costs we are often limited to how many pages we can print. However, your donation will allow us to give more students the opportunity to have their work published in our journal! Donations will also be used to cover the costs of hosting the art show so that admission to the event can be free to all students who wish to attend, thereby allowing easier access to promoting student work.
