Duquesne University's Filipino American Student Association (FASA) is committed to cultivating cultural consciousness and commemorating the rich legacy of the Philippines within the university's student body. FASA endeavors to acquaint students with Filipino culture's diverse traditions, customs, and culinary heritage through various events and activities.
An outstanding aspect of FASA's endeavors is the exhibition of traditional Filipino dances such as tinikling, a lively and rhythmic dance incorporating bamboo poles. Furthermore, FASA arranges street food stalls during Group Body Meetings, allowing attendees to sample genuine Filipino cuisine.
To sustain the provision of these enriching experiences, FASA is actively seeking support to secure funding for procuring necessary props for acts such as tinikling and establishing street food kiosks for subsequent events. The contribution provided will defray the expenses associated with the acquisition of props and equipment, enabling FASA to sustain its efforts in disseminating the richness and variety of Filipino culture to the Duquesne University community.
We invite you to participate in our FASA support by donating to our fundraiser and promoting it to your acquaintances, acquaintances, and relatives. Collaboratively, we can guarantee the flourishing of FASA's cultural activities and sustain their constructive influence on the university. I express my gratitude for your assistance.
