Mic Drop A Cappella was founded 2016 so students at Duquesne University could have the opportunity to come together to practice, perform, and share a wonderfully unique form of music
on campus and throughout the Pittsburgh area. Throughout this year Mic Drop has had 15 student-singers of various majors who arrange and perform music from various genres.

Words cannot convey how much we love music. This is because the love we have for music is a feeling, an entity, and ultimately, a sound. We go beyond the sheet music and we dive into the raw emotion and feeling of each and every song that we learn and perform. Our job is to tap into people’s emotions and let them feel happiness, excitement, thrill, joy, sadness and sorrow. We want to show people that A Cappella music is a very intimate experience and we want to represent Duquesne University to show others what we can do and what we stand for. Funds we receive we will give you music that can never be forgotten.

A gift of $25 could assist us in covering the cost of concert operations.
A gift of $50 could assist us in hosting events on campus (ex. Concerts, invitationals)
A gift of $100 could assist us in purchasing microphones, receivers, and other equipment required to utilize live sound
A gift of $200 could help cover the costs of a hotel stay for competitions, invitationals, retreats, etc.
A gift of $300 could pay entirely for our International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA's) audition video/fee
A gift of $500 would pay for one 8 hour/full day studio recording session at a professional studio.
