Our Crowdfunding Groups
The Society of Professional Journalists is a national professional collegiate association dedicated to promoting quality journalism. We are fundraising to kick-off our community journalism project. 
This program will consist of members of our group visiting surrounding high schools with newspapers to give advice to fellow aspiring journalists. We will operate workshops that demonstrate how to correctly report on and write a news story. We need your help to assist in paying for our transportation to and from our desired locations. Spread the word on social media, so we can raise enough money to make this happen.

We need funds to cover transportation costs to and from local high schools in Pittsburgh. Your donations will directly support our outreach efforts, enabling us to reach more aspiring journalists. This project is needed for sustaining the Society of Professional Journalists at Duquesne University. A gift of $10 will be used to purchase presentation supplies.
A gift of $25 will partially cover transportation for one trip.
A gift of $50 will cover transportation fees for one trip to a high school
A gift of $100 will cover the fees for two trips to high schools
A gift of $250 will cover fees for five trips to high schools
A gift of $500 will cover fees for multiple trips to high school, while covering costs for a small amount of merchandise.
A gift of $1,000 Will cover fees for all the trips we plan to take to surrounding schools
A gift of $1,500 will cover fees for all the trips we plan to take to surrounding schools, and cover merchandise fees for apparel, stickers, pens, etc.
