Out in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (oSTEM) at Duquesne is a new student organization that caters to LGBTQ+ students in STEM.
We are currently in our second semester on campus, and would love for some of our members to attend the upcoming National oSTEM Conference.
Why we need your support!
The 14th Annual oSTEM Conference is set to occur in Portland, OR, bringing together over 1,100 LGBTQ+ individuals including students, professionals, and recruiters from STEM fields nationwide and globally. This inclusive environment encourages participants to openly share both their professional and person journeys while learning from one another. The conference offers a diverse range of programs, from introspective discussions on queer issues and career development to technical sessions highlighting cutting-edge research.
Members can also take advantage of the Career & Graduate School Expo to network with industry professionals and academics.
We hope that alumni of Duquesne, especially LBGTQ+ identifying people and allies, donate to our campaign to help current students take advantage of this new opportunity. Please share with your networks, and check out what else we’re doing at our website,
