Our Duquesne University chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is a social and service organization open to all undergraduate STEM majors who strive to attain academic and professional success here at Duquesne.
Our organization is consistently one of the most successful student organizations on campus, having won the ACS Outstanding Student Chapter Award the past ten years, the ACS Green Chemistry Chapter Award the past seven years, and the Duquesne SOLSA Award for Outstanding Student Organization of the Year three times in the last 4 years!
Why We Are Fundraising!
As part of the Duquesne ACS student chapter, members have the opportunity to present the research they have conducted as undergraduate students at the American Chemical Society National Conference, which is being held on March 17-21 in New Orleans, LA. To be able to deliver this valuable experience to our members, we are asking for your generosity to help pay the fees that would make this much-anticipated dream a reality for several of our student members. In addition to having the honor to represent Duquesne University and gaining invaluable experience presenting research, our members will also get the chance to:
Attend poster sessions and special lectures
Network with professionals and peers from the scientific community in a more laid-back, social setting
Attend the ACS Career Fair and Graduate School Exposition
Our goal this year is to raise $1,000 to send 6 of our members to the ACS National Meeting.
Why We Need Your Help…
We ask that you please make a donation today to help give us this invaluable and exciting experience. Even gifts of $10 will make a difference. You can also help by spreading word of this campaign to others who may be interested via social media, e-mail, and text.
