Who are we?
Lambda Kappa Sigma is a professional pharmacy fraternity for women that strives to elevate women in pharmacy through professional excellence and personal growth. Duquesne University is home to the Tau chapter of LKS and is the university's largest Greek organization with nearly 150 members and hundreds of alumni. As sisters of Lambda Kappa Sigma, we aim to impact the community through service, leadership, scholarship, integrity and sisterhood. Our philanthropy is Project HOPE, that provides medical supplies and personnel to areas of the world in need. We annually raise upwards of $5,000 for Project HOPE. In 2022, we were nationally recognized as Top Diamond Chapter of the year and for hosting the Top Philanthropy Event of the year.
Why do we need donations?
Lambda Kappa Sigma is home for so many young professional women here at Duquesne University. We provide resources to members that impact all aspects of their careers. We provide resume/CV building workshops, interview practice, alumni panels, academic tutoring, and so much more. Donations will directly help in keeping this organization and its various programs accessible to all members.
Your donations will also help us fund chapter outreach opportunities in the Pittsburgh community and events benefitting Project HOPE. These events help us grow personally and professionally, but more importantly, they directly benefit communities in need both locally and around the world.
