Who we are
Student Nurses’ Association is an organization for undergraduate nursing students here at Duquesne. This organization provides educational resources and is a great way for nursing students to network and gain leadership skills. Members stay involved through chapter meetings, fundraising, social, and service opportunities. SNA allows for not only involvement within Duquesne or Pennsylvania, but even on the national level! We keep engaged in the current healthcare system on the pre-professional level by attending conferences and legislative programs.
What happens at the conference?
The NSNA conferences are a great way for members of the association to have the chance to be exposed to different aspects of nursing. The conferences include opportunities such as voting on legislation for changes in nursing that are presented by other nursing students as well as get a chance to walk around the expo with many different vendors. The expo provides a great amount of opportunities for job prospecting as well as to meet nursing students from all different schools around the country! It is a great overall experience that every nursing student should have an opportunity to experience!
