What is audio engineering?
When you think of a recording studio or a live concert, audio engineers are the people who get everything up and running, and keep things on track behind the scenes. Duquesne offers the music technology major, in which students get to have hands-on experience with high-end gear, but the Audio Engineering Society (AES) provides even more opportunities for learning new techniques, getting to try out new gear, and making connections and friendships with other supportive audio engineers.
What do we do?
AES meets on a regular basis so that students interested in the audio industry can:
Membership is open to the entire Duquesne University student body, not just music technology majors. All are welcome!
Why are we crowdfunding?
For the first time in two years, members will be attending the AES convention in New York City, in person, which is an amazing opportunity. Later in the year members are looking to attend the NAAM Show in Los Angeles. This crowdfunding campaign will go towards these trips, as well as allowing us to schedule guest speakers as well, obtaining professional insight on the audio industry.
Please donate today!
