Our 2017 Crowdfunding Campaign has Launched!
We are excited to inform you that our 2017 crowdfunding campaign has launched - www.spirit.duq.edu/nsslha17! You generously donated to our 2016 crowdfunding campaign and we would greatly appreciate your continued support again this year.
Donations will allow us to:
- Purchase supplies for our on campus clinic, such as colored paper and other craft supplies
- Afford necessary supplies for our meetings
- Help offset the costs for 4th and 5th year members of our chapter (graduate students) to attend the annual American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) Convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California, November 9-11, 2017
Gifts of any amount will help us to reach our goal.

See Your Donation in Action!
Thank you for supporting the crowdfunding campaign for our Duquesne University Speech-Language Pathology students in the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (www.spirit.duq.edu/nsslha16)!
We wanted to let you know your donation is already making a difference. Our students arrived safely this week in Philadelphia for the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) Convention. This special experience has already provided the opportunity for the students to:
- Represent Duquesne University on the national stage and present research about gesture use and childhood apraxia of speech.
- Attend ASHA education sessions, which are the strongest educational programs for speech-language pathologists, audiologists, speech and hearing scientists and related professionals.
- Network with Duquesne University alumni at a Speech-Language Pathology department event.
- Attend the Graduate School Fair and the Career Fair.
Our Campaign Ends this Sunday Night – Please Help Spread the Word!
Thanks to donors like you, we have already raised $1,032 to help cover the costs of attending the convention, but are still short of our goal. We would love to reach our goal of $2,000 before the campaign ends this Sunday night. If you know of anyone who might be interested in supporting us, please direct them to www.spirit.duq.edu/nsslha16 and ask them to make a donation – any amount makes a difference! Posting a link to our crowdfunding campaign on social media is another great, easy way to help us reach our goal.
Thank you again and have a wonderful weekend!
