Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto Renovation Fund

Since 1956, Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto has been a sacred space for private prayer and contemplation on Duquesne University’s campus.

Renovated in 2019 and rededicated in memory of Helen Dorothy Spock Brenckle, the Grotto features candles representing the intentions of alumni and friends offered through Spiritan Campus Ministry.

Dennis Brenckle, B’67, (an alumni brother of the Alpha Epsilon fraternity) and his wife Patricia were principal benefactors of the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto renovation, with additional financial support from Highmark Health.
