Who We Are
The Duquesne University Cheerleading Team is a group of 22 student-athletes who, fueled by our passion and spirit for Duquesne Athletics, energize our sports teams and the great Dukes fans who attend games. We are also involved with many charity and community events throughout the academic year.
We are coached by two Duquesne University alumni who stress the traditions of Duquesne Athletics and the rich history of its Cheerleading team. Practice on Sundays and strength and conditioning two other days of the week is the necessary preparation for us to perform cheers, stunts, dance, tumble, and do anything we can to fire up Duquesne fans. Our t-shirt tosses during breaks in games are sure to get you on your feet!
Duquesne Dukes Athletic Events
We cheer at all home football games at Arthur J. Rooney Athletic Field and every men’s and women’s home basketball game. Additionally, you can see us at one or more Duquesne volleyball games each year and other special events hosted by Duquesne Athletics.

Why We Need Your Support
With excellent athletic teams to cheer for, a dedicated fan base to perform in front of, the opening of the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in our sights, and a squad that is thrilled to play a key role in all of this excitement, our program has never been stronger. That is why we felt the time was right to host our first-ever crowdfunding campaign and ask for your support.
