WHO WE ARE
The Duquesne Trumpet Ensemble is a group consisting of trumpet majors from the Duquesne University Mary Pappert School of Music. The main objectives of this performing ensemble are to provide Duquesne trumpet students the ability to perform in a mass chamber ensemble, to compete in national and international competitions, and to represent Duquesne on an international level to students and pedagogues across the globe.
The Duquesne Trumpet Ensemble is open to any student who currently studies privately in the studio of Mr. Chad Winkler, Adjunct Professor of Trumpet at Duquesne University.
WHY WE ARE CROWDFUNDING
The Duquesne Trumpet Ensemble has been selected by competitive audition to perform at the International Trumpet Guild (ITG) conference at Miami, FL in July 2019. This comes after this ensemble was selected to perform at the ITG Conference at San Antonio, TX in May 2018, the first time an ensemble from Duquesne had ever been invited to perform at an ITG Conference.
The expenses associated with the trip to Miami place an extra financial burden on the students, and this crowdfunding campaign attempts to offset some of that cost. Donations will be used for:
