Who are we?
We are the Duquesne University Men’s Club Lacrosse team. The team consists of 45 players and one coach. Established in 2015, our inaugural season exceeded expectations as we finished with an impressive 10-3 record, made it to the Conference Championship, and finished the season ranked 18th in the nation.
We compete in the Keystone Conference of the National College Lacrosse League (NCLL) and face teams from University’s such as: Carnegie Mellon, Robert Morris, Slippery Rock and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Our season began on February 24th, 2019 and our momentum from last season, combined with a successful crowdfunding campaign would make us a true force in the NCLL this year.
Why do we need your support?
Duquesne Men’s Lacrosse is once again striving to become one of the top 25 teams in the nation, predicted to compete in the Three Rivers Division Championship. Moreover, the program has a strong following throughout the student body, and our move to Arthur J. Rooney Field should only increase our popularity. With all that being said, we could really use some help as we look to continue to grow our program. Our organization is fully student-funded, which means we need financial support to offset our expensive costs. Donations will help to pay for:
A successful campaign will also free us from having to spend time hosting fundraisers throughout the year, allowing us more time to focus on studies and practice.
How can you help?
Please stay connected and plan to attend a game!
In addition to raising dollars, we hope that this campaign also increases our fan base. Please follow us on Twitter (@DuqMensClubLax) and plan to cheer us on at one of our games this season at Rooney Field!
