We Did It!

January 11, 2019

From every member of the Duquesne University Appellate Moot Court Board, we would like to wish a heartfelt “thank you” to all of our supporters, whose generosity allowed us to meet (and exceed) our crowdfunding goal of $1,500!

These gifts will help to ensure that every interested member of the Appellate Moot Court Board will be able to represent Duquesne Law this year at competitions across the country. Because of our supporters, we will be able to continue our program’s tradition of excellence.

We are happy to report that, this year, we have already seen the kind of success this program is known for. In November, a team of four 3L students took first place at the Brooklyn Regional of the ABA National Arbitration Competition. Our students defeated teams from Stetson University School of Law, University of Connecticut School of Law, Brooklyn Law School, and New York Law School along the way to become Regional Champions. The team will compete later this month at the ABA National Finals in Chicago. Our other teams are now hard at work, too, writing briefs and preparing for oral arguments for their competitions this spring.

Thank you, again, to all of our supporters. Your kindness and encouragement mean the world to us. We will work hard to make you proud this season!

Duquesne Law Appellate Moot Court Board

Over Halfway to Our Goal!

January 04, 2019

Our crowdfunding campaign for the Duquesne Law Appellate Moot Court Board is over halfway to its goal!

Thanks to great supporters like you, we have raised a total of $835 from 13 donors, 55% of our goal. The entire Appellate Moot Court Board greatly appreciates your support! These gifts will help ensure our students can compete at the highest levels as we move into competition season this spring.

With five days left in our campaign, you can provide additional support by sharing our crowdfunding page, www.spirit.duq.edu/amcb, with any alumni, family, friends or colleagues who may be interested in donating. Gifts of any size will help us reach our goal. Another great way to spread the word is by taking a moment to share our page on social media. With just a few clicks, your sharing can further our reach and impact in such a meaningful way.

Thank you again for your support!

Sincerely,

Samuel C. Nolan
